Have you ever been around someone that was constantly talking about the negativity in their life? You know, where they can’t look on the bright side and they feel like the world is out to get them? How did/do you feel after being around these types of people? Chances are, you feel drained, exhausted, and energetically depleted. I like to call these people “energy vampires” because they just suck the life right out of you. Similarly, have you ever been around people that are motivated, connected, and upbeat and started to feel that way yourself? Have you ever wondered why?
Energy is one of the most contagious resources there has ever been and it’s also one of the most inconsistent resources. Energy ebbs and flows based on many factors including your mood, seasons of life, hormones, people around you, activity levels, nourishment through food, etc. Your energy is drastically altered by the world around you and your lifestyle and though it may feel like a lot of it is out of your control, there are shifts you can make to improve your energy.
Sure, you can’t always control the days that you didn’t get enough sleep or your body is worn down. Those days are going to happen, it’s a part of life. Especially as females, your menstrual cycle will play a huge role in your physical energy levels. But, you do get to control the energetic force around you based on how you act, react, and speak in your daily life. Energy is a vibrational pull that attracts similar pulls. Not to sound cliche but good vibes manifest good vibes whereas bad vibes manifest more bad vibes. This may sound like a bunch of hippy bull-shit but think about it in its most pure form…
Energy in the body begins when a thought is moved between neurons in the mind. That thought is carried through the nervous system and creates an emotional response that generally triggers a behavior. A thought of connection creates lust which can trigger intimacy. The thought of loneliness creates a depression that can trigger tears. These responses move from you to the world. As you project energy, those vibrational pulls will bring in like energy. Like energy cultivates like energy. Sadness cultivates sadness. Joy cultivates joy. Kindness cultivates kindness.
Essentially, this means that you get to manifest the energy that you desire in your life. You get to choose what you invite in. When you decide that you want to cultivate high-vibration energy, you are deciding that you are worth betting on. You are deciding that you are worthy of love, abundance, and joy. This decision sounds so simple but actually making an effort towards good energy takes commitment. You get to choose the energy you put out but it’s not as simple as saying you want it. It means working towards it through your thoughts, your words, and your actions. Manifestation isn’t an act of hoping and dreaming. It’s an act of embodiment and alignment in your life. It’s committing to the ideal person you want to become and allowing your decisions, actions, and reactions to reflect that image.
The thoughts that you think will impact how you continue to think. Even if you don’t believe it all at first, choosing to think optimistically will transform the way your mind works over time. The more optimistic you are about potential outcomes, the more likely you are to put effort into the results. This goes the other way too. Feeling like you can’t accomplish something is how you set yourself up for failure. You will naturally not work as hard with the idea that there is no hope of success. Then, when the results aren’t what you wanted, you’re more likely to give up because you don’t have any hope to hold on to the next potential outcome. The words that you say, impact your subconscious mind. Choosing to speak negatively to/about yourself will internalize this as the truth. These words will either manifest insecurities or confidence and only you get to decide which direction you go in. The actions that you take and the behaviors that you embody will cast votes towards the person you wish to become. The habits and actions in your life will determine the energy that you are choosing. Healthy behaviors crave more healthy behaviors.
Everything that you think, do, and feel has some sort of outcome. It will make you feel some type of way. Your thoughts bring about feelings. Your actions have an outcome. Your feelings create a behavior. When you decide that you are worthy of positive energy (and I mean putting effort into being your best self, not toxic positivity), you’re deciding that you want to take steps towards something greater than yourself. Energy doesn’t begin or end with you. Think of Newton’s First Law of Motion: an object that’s in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by another force. Energy is the same. Positive energy will remain positive unless some other factor messes with it. Bad energy will remain as bad energy unless acted on.
So, how can you cultivate the energy you wish to attract? Be the factor that makes the change. You get to decide what comes to fruition in your life. You get to embody the energy you wish to feel and you get to create the alignment in your life. Energy isn’t about the outcomes in your life, it’s about how you handle the results of the outcomes. Energy isn’t about perfect results, it’s about owning the steps and process. High-vibration energy takes time and effort and just like anything, will continuously change based on where you are in your life. The energy you put out is the energy you will recieve.
Steps to Cultivate High-Vibration Energy:
Energetic fields are such a finicky thing to talk about because they can so easily be confused with just being positive and happy. Your energy and the vibrations you put out can actually be more detrimental when you are faking your joy just for the sake of having good vibes. It takes effort and work and there needs to be a deeply rooted understanding of your emotions. Just trying to push everything difficult under the rug for the sake of “good energy” isn’t conducive to motivation and loving-kindness. Those emotions will manifest into something darker and though you may be outwardly projecting happiness, you’re only doing yourself a disservice. This prevents you from truly stepping into your authenticity which will naturally shift your energetic force field within time. The energy you put out matters but it can only matter if it’s true to you.
